The space

Just outside the gate, you’ll find access to one of the best beaches in Salento - the aptly named Spiaggiabella, which in addition to expanses of sand and clear water, boasts spring-fed freshwater that meanders out to meet the ocean and is perfect for rinsing off and refreshing.
Inside the gate, you’ll have the pleasure of a shaded veranda, with an outdoor shower to rinse the salt and sand off to your right, and a built in bbq/grill/wood oven to your left. Further to your left there are steps up to the rooftop terrace, from which you can enjoy views of the ocean, and inhale the refreshing sea breeze.
Through the main entrance you’ll find yourself in the comfortable living room, with a sofa that can also be used as a bed for two, and a smart TV from which you can access all of the streaming service via the WiFi that is available throughout the house. The living room leads into a spacious and well-equipped kitchen on one end, and on the other end into a small hallway from which the bedrooms and bathrooms can be accessed.
There, you'll find two large bedrooms with double beds – one of which has a spacious en-suite bathroom and the other which has access to the patio. The third bedroom is a cozy but adequate space between the other two, and is equipped with a bunk bed. The other bathroom, despite being located on the interior, has wonderful natural light and a high ceiling, due to a structural skylight being located above.
There is a nice flow to the floorplan, and with the kitchen connecting to the living room and also having a door to the veranda near the bbq area and the steps to the terrace, its perfect for socializing and both indoor and outdoor dining.

Guest access

You can park freely on the street, but in the busy summer months it's a popular beach and parking can be a challenge. Directly next to the villa there is a private, gated street that is shared with 3 other properties. There is room for for parking two cars along the length of the villa's wall.
THE BEACH
Spiaggiabella translates literally as "beautiful beach", and it is indeed so. If you enjoy walks along the beach, you can do so for many kilometers in either direction. But one of the most unique characteristics of this beach is the cool freshwater of Foce Idume, which is an underground river that surfaces nearby after traveling from Lecce and beyond, and provides a perfectly refreshing contrast to the warm waters of the Adriatic Sea.

The beach access path begins just a short, 60 meter stroll from the gate, and about 100 meters further you'll have Lido Kalu to your left, and the spacious free beach to your right, which is where the Idume meets the sea.

From there, Torre Rinalda (the actual tower) is a beautiful, 3km walk to the north west, and Torre Chianca (again, the tower itself) is an equally beautiful stroll to the south east...and you could easily walk quite a bit further in either direction!

As for enjoying the beach, there are many Lidos (equipped beaches) within a short walking distance, starting with the closest, Lido Kalu. You also have the options of bringing your own equipment to the free beach, or you can use the villa's chairs and umbrellas for an additional fee. Beach towels are also available (€5 per towel, per stay), in case you've forgotten yours or prefer to travel lightly.
AND SALENTO HAS SO MUCH MORE TO OFFER...
Just strolling down to the beach for swimming, sunning,and relaxing is so nice, it can be hard to get motivated to go anywhere else! And it's easy to forget that the cultural capital of Salento - Lecce, and the centro storico with it's Roman amphitheater and incredible baroque architecture, is a mere 15km from the villa!

There are so many other amazing places to visit, all within an hour's drive - Otranto, Gallipoli, Ostuni, Porto Cesareo, Santa Cesarea Terme, Brindisi and many more! Or you can venture a bit further throughout Puglia, to visit places such as Alberobello, Matera, Polignano a Mare, Cisternino, and Santa Maria di Leuca (to name just a handful) which are all within about a two hour drive or less. And we recommend visiting each of them!
In fact, with all the wonderful towns and sights to see in in Salento and Puglia, it's almost a conundrum to be staying in a great villa at a beautiful beach, because it's hard to leave!
